In order to facilitate the widest range of possibilities Heroes of the storm offer a technique referred to as ‘Hero Rotation’. In a nutshell, this ‘try and play’ technique allows for each new player to use a group of seven (7) different heroes each and every week. Heroes are from all roles including the warrior, assassin, support, and specialist. However, the new player is allocated only five(5) heroes a week from the ‘Hero Rotation’ list. As a bonus, if any of the player reaches level 12. then an extra slot is given bringing the total hero counts to six (6), upon reaching level 15 you get the seventh slot. At the end of the week a new set of heroes are ‘rotated’ in and you are once again allowed to play this particular ‘rotation’. Currently heroes are rotated every Tuesday.
In addition you may rotate heroes out in a three or four day cycle but only three or four certain heroes at a time. The entire object of this machination is to allow a new player to see all the attributes of as many heroes as possible so that they may make a decision as to which one they want to purchase.
How to Purchase Hero?
There will come times throughout game play that during one of the rotations you will want to make one of the heroes a permanent part of your hero set. This can be facilitated by purchasing with in game gold. Generating in game gold for your account is as follows.
First there is match play which offers from twenty (20) to thirty (30) gold upon winning the match. There are bonus stimpacks that can increase the gold payout as well.
Secondly, levelling your player can generate gold in the following scenarios
